Cookie Policy
Effective 11 August 2026. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones fornelo.world uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how Fornelo Health Ltd handles personal information. We have written this policy in plain English so that you can make an informed choice about your privacy settings before, during and after you visit our site.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to fornelo.world and any subdomain we operate, and it covers cookies set directly by us as well as a small number set by carefully selected third parties who help us run analytics on our behalf. It does not cover cookies that may be set by unrelated websites you reach via outbound links from our site, each of which has its own cookie practices that we do not control. It also does not cover information collected by couriers through their own tracking systems once your parcel has been handed over for delivery, which is governed by the courier's own privacy and cookie notices.
2. What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device through your browser when you visit it, allowing the site to recognise your device on return visits or during a single browsing session. Cookies cannot access files on your device outside the specific data they were set to hold, and they cannot run programs or install software. We also use functionally similar technologies such as local storage, which behaves like a cookie but is stored slightly differently by the browser; for simplicity, this policy refers to both collectively as "cookies". Some cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser, described as session cookies, while others remain on your device for a defined period, described as persistent cookies.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We organise the cookies used on fornelo.world into four categories: strictly necessary, analytics, preferences, and marketing. Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the site to function, for example by remembering your cookie consent choice, and cannot be switched off through our Cookie Settings panel. Analytics and preference cookies are optional and are only activated after you give consent through the cookie banner or the Cookie Settings modal accessible from the footer of every page. Marketing cookies are not currently active on our site, and if that ever changes we will update this policy in advance and seek your consent before any such cookie is set.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
| Cookie name | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| fornelo_consent | Remembers your cookie banner choices so we do not ask again unnecessarily | 12 months |
| session_id | Maintains basic continuity while you browse and complete the order form | Session (deleted on browser close) |
These cookies do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) because they are necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, such as remembering that you have already made a cookie choice. Disabling these cookies through your browser settings may mean the order form and cookie banner do not function correctly, in which case you are welcome to place an order over the telephone instead.
5. Analytics cookies
| Cookie name | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| analytics_session | Groups page views into a single visit for aggregated reporting | 30 days |
| analytics_visitor | Distinguishes returning visitors from new visitors in aggregate | 12 months |
Analytics cookies are only set once you actively accept them through the cookie banner or Cookie Settings modal. They help us understand which pages are most useful, how visitors move between the homepage, ingredients page and order form, and where visitors experience difficulty, all reported to us in aggregated and, wherever feasible, anonymised form. We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose, and Google LLC processes this data under its own data processing terms as our processor; you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across websites generally by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Preference cookies
The preferences_view cookie stores minor display preferences, such as whether you have previously dismissed a promotional banner, for six months. It does not store your name, address, telephone number or any part of your order, and it is only set once you consent to preference cookies through the Cookie Settings modal. You can clear this cookie at any time through your browser without affecting your ability to place an order.
7. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies, which would typically be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising or to show relevant adverts on other platforms, are not activated on fornelo.world as of the effective date of this policy. If we introduce a marketing campaign that relies on such cookies in the future, we will describe the specific cookie name, the provider, its purpose and its lifespan in the Cookie Settings modal before asking for your consent, and this policy will be updated accordingly with a new dated revision entry.
8. How to control or withdraw consent
You can accept or reject optional cookies at any time using the banner that appears on your first visit, or by reopening the Cookie Settings modal through the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page on the site. Most browsers also allow you to see, manage and delete cookies already stored on your device through their settings menu, and you can normally choose to block cookies from specific sites or all sites, although doing so may affect how well some websites, including ours, perform. Because the consent record itself relies on the fornelo_consent cookie, clearing your cookies will cause the banner to reappear on your next visit so that you can make a fresh choice.
9. Consent renewal
Your cookie consent choice is remembered for up to 12 months. After that period, or sooner if you clear your cookies or switch devices or browsers, we will ask you again so that your preferences remain current and freely given, in line with regulatory guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office. If we make a material change to the cookies we use, we may also prompt you to review your settings ahead of the normal 12-month renewal.
10. International transfers relating to cookie data
Where a third-party analytics provider such as Google LLC processes cookie-derived data outside the United Kingdom, that transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards, including reliance on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. No cookie used on this site transmits your name, delivery address or telephone number; the identifiers involved are technical in nature and are not designed to directly identify you as an individual.
11. Complaints and contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, or wish to raise a concern, please contact us at [email protected] or +44 20 3897 4201 during Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30; we aim to acknowledge cookie-related enquiries within 5 working days and to provide a full response within 30 calendar days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, telephone 0303 123 1113, or via ico.org.uk.
12. Changes to this policy and revision history
We review this Cookie Policy periodically to ensure it accurately reflects the cookies actually in use on fornelo.world. When we make a material change, such as introducing a new cookie category or a new third-party provider, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, ask you to reconfirm your preferences through the cookie banner.
